Comments on: I was exhausted after a long day of railfanning, and was heading back to Saskatoon to eat and catch up on some sleep. I was eastbound along Highway 14 when I saw this unknown westbound CP freight, so I did what any exhausted railfan would do, and turned around and started back west on the highway until I was comfortably ahead enough to pull off the highway in a pocket of sun for a shot.

This train usually has a sizeable setoff for Wilkie including cars to be forwarded to Lloydminster. CP handles quite a few cars for the large Husky Energy upgrader and asphalt plant in Lloyd.

Ah yes, I recall hearing some chatter about Winter over the scanner over the course of the few days I was in the area. And thanks for the ID - I'd always been curious as to what it was. It was mostly tanks and had a BNSF rear DPU, but then those four grain hoppers on the head end - not really the type of manifest train I am used to seeing!
