I sat in my usual spot watching the birds and deer for twenty-five odd minutes, when on came the red signals at mile 42 saying the train was in the block. I got in position to wait it out. The horn sounded as it approached the fourteenth concession and it sounded a bit funny. In to view comes SD40-2, CP 5743 with CP 2283 and KCS 4127 leading what I was later told was CPKC 135. An SD40-2 leading was a great surprise. The only thing missing was a bit of sun but at 7:41pm, I’ll take what I got.
