<title>Comments on: I wasn&#8217;t foaming this day, but for whatever reason had the scanner on and heard that train 335 (Garneau, PQ. to Buffalo, NY) had stalled on the &#8216;Scarborough Hill&#8217;. It took a little while to get down to the tracks, but when I did was greeted with a unusual sight in the diesel era; headend helpers. Though helpers were most common here in the steam era from Don Yards as far as Port Union, a combination of better low speed pulling power of the diesel and the re-routing of most freights away from downtown via the York and Halton Subs had made this non-existant. Usually a heavy train with a good amout of steel out of Hawkesbury, it would seem that this 335 was too much for CN 6027 and CR 6666 to get over the hump, so 546&#8242;s power, CN 4115 and 4101, came to the rescue. And yes, it sounded great! 1329hrs.</title>
