Comments on: I wonder how many realize this structure still exists? John St tower, at the foot of John St down by the railroad corridor was built around the same time the ‘new’ Union Station came into being, back in the 1920s. From this building track was controlled between Union and Bathurst Yard. The Tower still exists, looking a lot less like a tower, since its roof was shaved off in order to accommodate the walkway over the railroad to the Rogers Centre. So it is now hidden away right below the walkway. In this photo you can see the first walkway, this to the CN Tower immediately to the east. Once upon a time John St was a neat little place to catch some passenger traffic. But that was 40 years ago……………..

Anyone have an idea where Cabins A,B and E were located? I know where D was and I guess now C.

Also known as Cabin “C”. Cabins A and B are east of Union Station and C, D, and E are to the west. Cabin D was always the best known and most photographed.
