<title>Comments on: Idling away on the shop track on a gloomy May afternoon, 603 &amp; 604 in the &#8220;two tone green&#8221; paint. These RS18 units were a popular reliable locomotive and well maintained by the BCR shop staff. Kind of a neat unit to operate on the main track in road switcher service with generally a good comfortable ride. In yard service they were great pulling locos for heavy switching assignments either as a single unit, or coupled in a pair or MU&#8217;d with a slug. Unfortunately they just weren&#8217;t the same after the CAT engine conversion.</title>
