Comments on: I’m on a F unit roll so let’s add more to the pile. This was a bit nerve racking as I knew I had to try to beat the train somewhere after work – and it was already enroute having had a delayed departure. You also only get one shot especially when you have to take the kids to Skating afterwards. Bad timing would have meant missing it entirely because you just can’t chase a business train unless you are committed to drive far. Also, sun was threatened as clouds were in the far distance to the west – I instinctively made the call to drive east with the clouds hoping to stay ahead of the nasty clouds and picked this spot as best – but I knew full well I just might miss it but the gamble was worth it. I’ve gambled on this train before and lost – this time I won. I beat the train by 3 minutes. I forget exactly why it was in town though.

Great image! I got lucky that day too after work shooting it at Hornby. Luckily it was running late or I would not have had a chance either :)

As you enjoy the sound of the F units approaching. It's a real nice 2 for 1 when out shooting these.
Very nice photo. :-)
