<title>Comments on: In earlier years, CP operated a rock pit a couple miles west of Agassiz, primarily for rip-rap rock for shoring up eroded banks along the Fraser River. That is the pit track on the lower right, with No. 1 The Canadian powered by 4068 and 1404 passing by at 0952 PDT on Friday 1978-10-06. No. 1 was then timetabled 0943 at Agassiz, two miles back, so was wonderfully close to right on time that day.</title>
