Comments on: ‘In Flanders fields the poppies blow’. Tomorrow is Remembrance Day, which is the anniversary of the First World War Armistice. The symbol of Remembrance Day in Canada is the Poppy, commemorated in John McCrae’s poem ‘In Flanders Fields’. This year VIA Rail has put a poppy on all of there business cars, as here on this VIA 1 car which is stopped at Dorval.
