<title>Comments on: In September 1968, just under 3 years prior to Amtrak, Penn Central midday train No.50 was traversing the Canada Division between Detroit and Buffalo. E8’s 4065 (exNYC) and 4248 (exPRR ) have an assorted consist on their drawbar. The containerized cars are NYC-designed FlexiVans and many of them had steam trainlines so they could be expedited on the faster trains. There are three such flatcars today, in between the 4 baggage cars. And there appears to have been a heavy brake application coming up to the diamond, as the brake shoe smoke is kicking out from beneath the train. Train No.50 will make a scheduled stop at Welland in under 20 minutes, immediately after crossing the Welland Canal drawbridge which is still in use today by Trillium Rail.</title>
