<title>Comments on: In the midst of a heavy snowstorm, CN 8006 and 5373 battle eastward with 320&#8242;s train. Had it not been for the storm, the summit of the climb from Newcastle to Newtonville would almost be in sight, though calling it a summit is probably an overstatement as this is not exactly a legendary grade. It is, however, a slog for many an eastbound with the tendency of CN to assign just enough power to get over the road, not allow the engineer to exceed run 6 in order to conserve fuel, and even isolate a unit if it is deemed the train has an abundance of power. As I recall, this hogger was every bit of power that he could out of this pair; the whine of the turbo&#8217;s being rather pronounced even with the snow deadening the sound. 1518hrs.</title>
