This was no normal morning however, it marked the first time a rebuilt F40PH made the transcontinental trip: 6400, the first rebuilt unit out of CAD Rail in Lachine QC, trails on its way to Vancouver for employee familiarization & training. Alas, mornings at Bathurst Stree aren’t the same anymore: the Canadian now departs Toronto under darkness, 6400 was wrecked in a level crossing accident a year or two later, and condos have sprung up, obscuring the line of sight. Time marches on.
