Comments on: Ingenia Polymers (the owner of the rail spur) had a paving contractor repair the Mohawk Street crossing last week. They did a great job… so great they even paved in the railway track flangeways. I guess the crew expected a quality job as they stopped before the crossing. The conductor watched from the ground and determined that the asphalt was too compacted in the flangeways for the train to proceed. They ended up backing clear of Cayuga Street to wait for someone to come and clear the flangeways out (the corn broom wasn’t going to cut it!) http://www.railpictures.ca The BEST Canadian photos on the Internet, eh?
