Comments on: It’s been way too long since I’ve spent time here. I remember in my early years the tracks still existed here behind the demolished station site. The old crumbling platform disappearing in the weeds. Unfortunately I’m a week or two too late for lush autumn colours but I’m not complaining. The sound of a GE and EMD tackling the Niagara Escarpment is music to my ears. Dundas certainly has a certain charm, and always will.

Ahhh...Dundas. Great little photo and I'd agree...nothing compares to the sound of any engine tackling the Niagara escarpment. Sadly, former station sites and / or yards and platforms look like barren 'wastelands'. One such area that reminds me of this is the old station site in Strathroy too.

However, I will have to take s look through my archives as I might have a gem of a shot for Dundas that would be comparable to how things were.

You know you've got a great photo when it sparks so much conversation!

Yes, Marcus; it has been "way too long" for me as well. Looks more like a barren wasteland of weeds around there now, looking at this image.
But there is still some nice colour on the cliff and it helps make for a nice scene. Like you, I used to love wandering this location. What a shame it is not the magnet it once was.
