Comments on: It’s unfortunate back it those traveling days my friend and I always wanted to cover a lot of ground each day of the holiday. Unfortunately our visit to the Windsor Hauntsport Railway landed on the weekend , meaning we could not catch any of the gypsum trains. We did thankfully that day cross paths with the relatively short lived tourist train they ran. The WHRC typically put a RS23 on each end as there were no run around spots at the end. At Wolfville the train would stop allowing passengers a chance to have a picnic lunch before heading back. What I give today for a redo here, unfortunately the RS23’s are long gone and the line has been out of service for years.

I am definitely very thankful we caught something with RS23’s. Also knowing the passenger train didn’t last that long. Made it a good catch as well. I so wish this railroad was still running. It would be neat even catching the 2 Dash”7’s that are now land locked inside the engine house.

You still caught something special, be proud since it's no longer in service. Wolfville station was saved, as it became a Public Library for the community (from notes past).

That's cool you were able to photograph that train. I had totally forget they did run excursions for a brief time.
