Comments on: It certainly was a colour show for awhile in 1994 when CN acquired 24 SD40-2s from the Union Pacific. The UP numbers 4090-4102, B4103, 4104 and 4106-4114 came to CN and were temporarily renumbered by changing the first number to a ’6′ from ’4′, as seen here; and as they were painted over and slotted in to the CN roster they became 5364-5387 by 1995.
In this image taken at the end of Howard Rd in Aldershot, train #390 has CN 5082, x-UP 6099, CN 5361 and EMD 813 running east, while CN 5048, x-UP 6108 and (out of sight) EMD 763 pulls out of the yard lead. It was an SD paradise around this time as is rather obvious.

Neat shot Arnold. Yes, as you say the summer of 1994 was great with all the yellow around on CN. And these units went everywhere on CN, even on the Guelph Subdivision as well.

Haha @awmooney. I've noticed that about some of the leased units. ie: I'm guessing ol' Larry's Truck and Electric have a few Elizabeth Taylor's on their roster! ;) Interesting duplication. Good stuff as always!

@Brad: If #390 wasn't moving along at such a clip I could have waited for the other to show its third unit, a blue EMD and it would have been even more so duplicated. When you look at some of these units and their history, you have to give big time kudos to those people at Bytown Railway for keeping the information in the Guide so organized. Some of these units have had more owners than old rich dudes have had wives.

Duplicate looking trains! I was wondering if CN were still running them and apparently in consulting https://www.thedieselshop.us/CN.HTML they are.
All numbered in the 5000 series like the rest here. Very nice.
