Thank you for all your comments. Agree with you Klaucker, the skyline today is so completely changed, can’t see the Royal York Hotel from this location today, even if you could access the site. The comforting fact is that 56 years later passenger trains are still departing for Montreal and Ottawa, and although no over-night trains to those cities, many more departures and arrivals than in 1970, and then throw in today’s GO trains on Lakeshore and Stouffville Corridors – lots to watch today.
