No leaf springs and the wheel base is a little shorter at 106 inches (compared to the 4 wheel type B truck found under most ALCO&#039;s). EMD&#039;s version was the 4 wheel flexicoil, seen on our GP9&#039;s and other smaller sized units (Canada and US).</description>
