Comments on: It is coming up to 40 years since I caught these three locomotives basking in the warm sunshine at the CP Agincourt Diesel Shop. I would assume by now that wandering this facility would be strictly forbidden, but do not really know as I have not been there since around 1985. Always liked this paint scheme, the stripes, highly visible and almost hypnotizing when compared to todays’ version.

I would come here back in the early 90's and wander about quite freely...
One could drive up along F Yard road and stop to take pictures quite easily.
Does anyone know why CP moved away from the 'full face stripe' scheme and opted for the nose only version ?

Went in the yard back in 2002 with my dad. We were told to leave by a foreman crew, but they also informed us of the upcoming CP Holiday train event, so they were quite nice about it. Even that was nearly 13 years ago. I would imagine though, you would likely be arrested today.

I think you would be arrested if you tried to get that shot today. I'm pretty surprised that even then you could have had such access.
