Comments on: It is late in the summer, beginning fall, and the presence of tumbleweeds give this image a very western flavour. The old station at Bow Island is an impressive structure, complete with living quarters upstairs for the agent and his family. One can imagine, though, the relentless frigid winter winds just whipping right thru this old place. The station still survived in the mid-1990s; it was going to be restored and put to some municipal use, as far as I knew; but a stop in town last fall proved me unable to locate it. I do not know if it has been razed, and if anyone knows this station’s demise, please pass along the information !!!!

Thanks very much for this, Terry. I am disappointed I did not see it when going thru town last fall. Figured it was long gone.
