<title>Comments on: It really wasn’t that long ago that 3000hp locomotives dominated a large percentage of mainline freight trains. Even into the 2000’s SD40’s and 4 axle cousins the GP40’s were still a common sight. Today 4300hp and 4400hp locomotives have taken its place. This days CN train 305 has wide cab SD40-2W 5355 up front with SLA GP40-2 3202 as well as a CN SD40U and former UP/MP SD40-2. The train is seen rolling through the popular railfan spot at Newtonville.</title>
