Comments on: It truly amazes me how much things change over the years. I first started railfanning Streetsville back in the mid 1990′s, back then the village was served by CP from Guelph jct. Typically Monday-Friday a line C424 or RS18U would be the power, when the Alco’s were retired leased GP40′S replaced them. By then the OSR took over CP’s contract to serve Guelph and both local assignments no longer call Guelph Junction home. The Streetsville turn then started at West Toronto. As the years passed the brief use of leased GP40′s ended and rebuilt GP9U’S replaced them. The economic termoil of the late 2000′s forced the temporary closure of West Toronto yard and the Streetsville turn moved to Agincourt yard. Eventually West Toronto yard reopened and T14, the streetsville turn returned to the yard. Not long after the GP9U’S were retired and GP38′S and new GP20ECO’s replaced them. As for Streetsville, rail service over the years has gone from daily to Monday-Wednesday-Friday device, and while a few new customers have surfaced over the years, almost double have left. Nevertheless T14 is still one of my favorite locals. Here T14 has finished it’s work under mostly rainy skies, which have finally cleared for the trains departure. On the way home the train will meet both trains 651 and 246. This power set has been around most of the summer so I’m hoping the white smoke from the trailing unit might mean some shop time ahead, and finally a new power set.

A few Years a go they had a Soo GP38-2 working Streetstville. I used railfan Streetsville…now I fan Lambton! Thanks for the history.

You need night vision Google’s for most of the trains, LoL. CP is definitely an after dark Railroad around here for the most part.

Here I thought it was one of those trains that was never going anywhere, you know like the RoadRailer, and the Expressway, and the frame train. I’m actually amazed you guys have anything left to shoot on that line!

They cut it back years ago unfortunately. On the off days it works Etobicoke and the CANPA.

Well hopefully the power will changes soon. Locomotives normally have scheduled maintenance dates that sometimes take a couple days and take them out of the rotation. Fingers crossed
