Comments on: It was a really hot day in August, and we were in town for a few days. So what else to do but wander over to the station and see what was happening? Turns out Southbound Canadian was close by, so driving under the bridge and up the other side for a photo was the thing to do. My old jalopy had no a/c save for all the holes in it, so the Sidekick got out of this rolling sauna tank and watched the proceedings. VIA #10 is rather lengthy this day; power up front is 6505, 5532 and 6622. Car count looks to be about 10. The Sidekick, looking ahead to a potential future of trains and travel and other related nonsense, became discombobulated and eventually fled. On the ground alongside, having a break from heavy usage, is the beloved Speed Graphic. The camera still resides with its owner, although both retired. :o)

I kept telling you back then…just get a **newer** car…….imagine….you could have had a few little Arnold-dodians running around if you did & Mrs Mooney would still be riding shot gun right hand seat with the slide, digital and B&W cameras 2 & 3 ready for action.

Huh? If this was submitted to a RR magazine, I certainly have forgotten about it. It could have been picked off the internet by somebody somewhere as I did send it to some friends a few years back. The Sidekick, as time went along, realized not too much in the “family way” was going to come out of a train nuts future. So off she went, in 1987. Life goes on.
