Comments on: It was feeling almost like old times or at least maybe a decade ago as CP 244 rolled through Streetsville this afternoon. It’s always nice to catch an all EMD lash up these days, but even better when it is led by a SD40-2 in full multi mark paint, something one definitely doesn’t see much anymore. I’ve also always liked how the BNSF paint looks on the SD70ACE’s as well.

After looking over the BNSF roster it looks like SD70ACE’s fill in most of the space between the number series other the two SD70MAC orders and no units using the 8600-8749 number block.

So can anyone explain the BNSF numbering scheme? 9370 was built and tested on GEXR in 2006
