That smoke is called turbo lag and of course is signature ALco/MLW. Great photo!

Thanks guys. If memory serves I actually started walking away back to my car when they restored the derail, and then the sun came out and I scrambled back for a shot.

Kevin, you can see the rain water on 181 (esp the windows) if you look closely.
