Comments on: Its a busy Monday in St. Thomas where GIO Rail is busy switching out 22 cars in CN’s yard, with their traffic today mainly being tanks going into storage at New Sarum and Tilsonburg. Across town, OSR’s St. Thomas Job is finishing up their work at Factor Gas and waiting for GIO to finish their lift before they can gain access to the yard. They’ll meet GIO at the diamond in a few minutes.

All buildings in the yard have recently been demolished. One, the old freight shed out of view a ways down the yard, burned down last month.

There’s debate on how long the fence is, but it’s definitely at least behind us in this shot. It covers the area the L&PS used to cross at least.

My understanding is within weeks of this photo, this area was fenced off by CN with a giant wooden fence along the right of way.
