Comments on: It’s hard to make a trip to Kitchener’s VIA/GO station without framing something in the building arches. The station and old factory here are very photogenic either day or night. On this night GEXR local 580s power was posing perfectly between the arches with the old Krug furniture factory in the background.

The Region is constructing a multimodal station and highrise/commercial space at king /victoria and the tracks…

It is to integrate ION, GO and VIA, and there is no way in hell the region will integrate the heritage structure…..

It is a development opportunity and the region wants highrise development at all costs.

I presume the current station will be abandoned/leased out once completed.
