Comments on: It’s just after 1400 and I found a SOR job working the far end of Parkdale Yard – I was just lucky to be able to get the CN logo in the frame due to the low height gondola… I can count on one hand the number of times I saw SOR at Parkdale and this is by far my best shot. Customers here for SOR were at the west end of the yard – Kinsdale and PDI amongst others (Tracks AE14-08 were SOR tracks), with the steel centre taking the majority of the tracks otherwise. The wye was also used to turn trains as needed and this could have been one of these moves.

It took me until the final few months of SOR in Hamilton to even realize SOR in Parkdale was a thing.

Looking at those tracks you referenced and then cross referencing them against Google Maps.. do those customers transload right there or something? Didn’t even realize Parkdale had those two as well.

I can count it on one hand for myself too, but never had anything shootable. Just saw them accessing the New Gages from the other side a couple of times. Nothing to be had. Nice catch.
