Comments on: It’s taken a few years to finally get my grandson to get out of the vehicle to see a train because he loves the trains but is not very fond of the noise. Today, he brought his own camera and told me “I’m a big boy now and want to take my own pictures.” He usually wears his ear muffs so its not so noisy but said he didn’t need them at this spot because they don’t honk, so off we went to get a pumpkin. Here, BNSF 7107 running solo with 62 total axels, passes mile 43.3 headed east down the Galt sub. Simple ear plugs you get in factories is fine. When I was younger it bothered me a lot but now its not as bad.. but still sometimes want them Which by the way is really just a symptom of hearing loss I definitely reccomend hearing protection for young ones. Then running around the corner of the station or in the car before the train passes. We found out he has sensitive hearing but these days it doesn’t bother him much as he’s always trackside.
