Comments on: Just another winter’s day hanging out at “The Junction.” Sitting somewhere warm, like in the car, a green goes up for an eastbound ‘off the hill’ so I scurry over to the south side in anticipation. A freight shows, seen about to enter the Oakville sub at the Junction with a trio of GP40-2L units, 9634, 9597 and 9565. I count off 60 cars and record the van as #79768. Mildly disappointed the power wasn’t a little more of the unusual variety, but hey, there is always another train.

Great shot Arnold! I wonder what railbuffs back then would have thought if they could take a peek at what is considered common power today, i bet people would appreciate what they had even more!
