Comments on: Just before the summer begins in 2002, CP 8120 (DRs 12a) is getting a fresh coat of maroon & grey paint at the Lake of the Woods Railroad Museum in Keewatin, ON. The van in the background could also use a freshening up.

Yes, there are a few incorrect details on the finished 8120. The script lettering and cab numbers should be maroon. The nose stripes are too narrow. The yellow stripes are too wide. Where the yellow stripe comes to a point, it should be slightly rounded and then taper almost to a point at the side walkway. At least it has protection from the weather rather than being left to rust away.

Hey Doug, I found this July 27, 2013 photo of CP 8120 taken by Taylor Woolston. The finished paint job doesn’t really do justice to the original paint scheme.
