Comments on: Just what I like. A beautiful late spring day and the sun is out at the same time I am. Wandered down to Fort Erie and was rewarded by the N&W transfer coming over from the USA; a rather long train as you can see some of the train on ‘the other side’. Behind the lead unit 2707 is sister 2706. I was somewhat puzzled by the “Extra” flags on this one; perhaps it was not a regular transfer. Too long ago. I fergit.

Not only was there a lot more frequency in moves, there was great variety in power, and most importantly, many more places one could park one's posterior along the tracks and just enjoy, without a disease carrying tick, No Trespassing sign or annoying authority in sight.

It is Mike - same owners who own the lot live there and that's their back yard. I was there in July 2019 and got their permission to stand in their "back yard" while the NS transfer came across. They were friendly.

They were mowing the lawn with a ride-em lawnmower. At the time it was well kept.. perhaps there are new owners/renters.

I'm quite amazed that the plot of land the Station is on appears to be part of the car dealer now.. .and not railway property. While I could be wrong, they're mowing it like it's theirs :)

Thanks. How do you think I feel? Nearly 44 years ago. But it seems like 10.
I appreciate the positive feedback on this shot, guys. The image turned out pretty good, as since that time I had only an old yellowing print to look back at. This idea scanning stuff is really full of nice surprises. Duds were not duds after all. Good that the negatives held up.

Another awesome photo AW! Although I have crossed this bridge and taken trains over these tracks more times than I can count, its incredible to think that this photo was taken 3 years before i hired on at CN and that station would be completely gone by my first trip to the "Fort"
