Comments on: KCS MW 902 is one of two exBNSF C44-9Ws converted to MW service by KCS after a group of 20 exBNSF units was acquired from GECX. (not to be confused with the other 50 C44-9Ws acquired directly from BNSF) Most if not all the other C44-9Ws have been sold or are off the roster, making the two in MW service qualify as “oddballs” on an otherwise all AC GE roster.
