Comments on: Last Days: The end is near for the CSX south of Sarnia as Cando plans to take over operations from at least Wallaceburg to Chatham, Ontario. Concrete painted milesigns and whistleposts dot this railway as a testament to solid construction and investment of the Erie and Huron Railway in the late 1800′s. This is train D724 who had work at Wallaceburg, Tupperville, and Sombra on this day.

I should point out – at the time I wrote this there was significant evidence CANDO was taking over the line and I had been in correspondence with Cando officials on the subject. They even went as far as rebuilding a Locomotive at LDS In Sarnia to be assigned to the new operation – but they did not come to an agreement and Cando walked away.
