Comments on: LDSX GP38 #2001, ex-C&O 3873, rounds the corner approaching Ojibway Yard as it passes under the westbound approach to the new Gordie Howe Bridge in West Windsor. It’s likely that at some point this unit passed through Windsor on one of the many C&O/CSXT trains that crossed Southern Ontario over the year. LDSX 2001 is working it’s 3nd day on the Essex Terminal as the 0800 Extra Job and has been stretching it’s legs testing out all the work that the LDS Shop Crew put into rebuilding the unit over the past year or so. I think the unit looks sharp in black with the green ‘ETR’ logo on the long hood and maybe if all goes well 2001 will end up on the Essex Terminal as a permanent fixture wearing a version of the ETR’s classic yellow and black scheme.
