Comments on: LDSX GP9u 1597, which is former CP 1597, awaits its first revenue run over the CN Cayuga Spur in Tillsonburg. The unit had made its maiden journey between St. Thomas and Tillsonburg on December 24. This section of the former “Canada Air Line” had seen a lot of work by new operator GIO Rail over the past few months, including the installation of thousands of new ties and ongoing work on crossing equipment for increased speeds, with the intention of growing the freight traffic.

The 3502 is coming off lease any time soon, and will be Trillium at that point. The other two active engines don't carry any lettering at the moment. The Trillium names were taken off when 1859 and 108 were used in filming an episode of " The Handmaids Tale "

Love the GP9 notification. Why is it there? My Mitsubishi Lancer didn't have 'Lancer' written on the bumper. Lol.

Mike, thats cool about the engine house. I know they have relocated the office from where it used to be years ago at Feeder W to the west side of Phillips Rd in the old wye.

Also 3502 is not a Trillium owned engine, its leased so it marks are JLCX not TRRY. I did mean 108 not 18 in my previous comment. Really have to watch you comments hear once you hit Post thats permanent.

Trillium has 1859 , 108 and 3502 (gp35) in service right now.
They prepped a site on the old Welland Canal at Dain City for a new as yet unbuilt engine house.

Brad, yes Trillium is completely own by GIO Rail now. Their engines still were TR (1859 and 18 I hear mostly) reporting marks however.
