Comments on: Like an abandoned railway line, nature is slowly reclaiming this former Ontario Northland TEE-Train equipment as it sits stored in a North Bay Road Works compound. Paul O’Shell captured a similar view in 2015 http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=20706

This equipment has been owned by the city for at least 2 decades. Sometime around 2004 they were torched by vandals with a penchant for arson so the interiors are just charred remains and as for the main body of the cars, well this picture says it all really. Unfortunately I don't really think there is a future for these things outside of a scrap yard!

If the city, or whoever owns this equipment doesn’t do something with it soon, it will become, like so many other locomotives or pieces of rolling stock intended for rebuild and display … scrap! I first captured this out of service/retired equipment at ONR’s North Bay yard on August 2, 2000. Over 22 years ago!

If it sits there too many more seasons it may have to be renamed TREE-Train equipment. :-)

So we do still have one over here. I wonder which museum will pick it up.

Congrats on the first photo Terry. :-)
By the size of the trees, these cars have been waiting awhile as to what their final fate will be.
