Comments on: London bound via the “back way” VIA #87 is just about to negotiate the crossovers under the Strachan Ave overpass. There have been many changes in this area over the past 40 plus years. Long gone are Cabin D (preserved at the John St roundhouse), the Spadina coachyards and the infamous former site of Toronto’s malodorous slaughterhouse/abattoir. The 2 tracks to the left will become part of the double tracked Newmarket Sub.

That’s just the combination of the gradient and telephoto compression. The climb in front of 6424 is not as steep as it looks, either.

Look in the back where it looks like it’s kinked. Where it just turns sharply left.
