	<title>Comments on: Looking back today, exciting was a word one could use for a certain era of GO Transit &#8211; but at the time it was probably all ho-hum to the regulars trackside. Such is life I suppose.

GO APCU 905 trails a westbound train of 10 bilevels with a GP40 sandwiching each end, rolling through Burlington Station on August 21st 1986. GO&#8217;s small fleet of APCU (Auxiliary Power Control Units) were rebuilt from old Ontario Northland and Milwaukee Road FP7&#8242;s that got a second reprieve at life. They were needed to both act as cab control cars for the expanding fleet, and to provide Head End Power electricity to the coaches that GO&#8217;s roster of GP40-2W and GP40-2 rebuilds couldn&#8217;t provide. Upon the scads of new F59PH&#8217;s arriving on the scene in the late 80&#8242;s/early 90&#8242;s, GO&#8217;s rag-tag fleet of GP40&#8242;s, F40&#8242;s and F-unit rebuilds would be retired. While the 40&#8242;s would go on in freight and passenger service with other roads, only two of the APCU/APU F-units survived, and the rest were stripped and cut up for scrap at Willowbrook in 1995.
