Comments on: Merry Christmas to all members and lurkers on RP!! At least in celebration of the holiday I came up with a photo with appropriate snow in it. :o) This late January shot was taken looking west at the CP overpass about 3/4 mile from Bayview. Back when the world was sane I could park at the Junction and walk. It was comforting because you never knew what was coming at you. In the days before ATCS and all that other stuff that takes away the guesswork, anticipation used to be the highlight of train watching. Now, it is catching in the right spot what you know is on the way. There is a huge difference. So I am wandering along kicking snow, I guess, and I hear this one on approach. Thus resulting in this image of CN (VIA) 3105, a shot I found interesting because I had totally forgotten that Old Guelph Rd bridge was replaced in the winter of 1981-82. You can see the posts behind the CP bridge. And, of course, in the distance is that walk bridge that is still used by the train watchers today, if they can find a place to legally park. Here’s to 2021. (I think!)
