Comments on: Mid 20th century MLW’s meet 19th century rails as Job 2 puffs the good stuff as they drag their train through lower yard. 5 days a week this job ran north in the late afternoon, turned somewhere in Guelph then worked facing the other direction. You didn’t always know where they’d turn (sometimes they ran long hood forward to avoid turning) but the fact this ran every day made photography easy, just be there and shoot.m This still happens with GEXR – every day.

Are any of those old rails dated from the 1800's? Be neat to catch a photo of the date stamp on the rail web. Best I've done is early 1900's. :-)
