Comments on: MLW rules – on this day – at CP Rail Agincourt.

M636 #4711 shares the sand tower loading track with RS-10s #8599 (‘b’ end showing) and RS-18 #8730, the latter is the future #1808.

Q: Anyone know if #8599 was repainted CP Rail action red?
And below 8599′s head light, the ” 11 20 79 ” numbering – perhaps a repair date – purpose ?

January 20, 1980 Kodachrome by S.Danko.

More pure MLW on CP:

two at Bolton

two departing Agincourt west

RS-10 at Agincourt

two west at Leaside

trio departing Agincourt east

I think the date code on the end has something to do with the date the manual handbrake was last inspected or tested. On lots of CP units today you can find dates located right above the brake wheels.
