Comments on: Most of the fans in Southern Ontario are familiar with the TH&B Yard Office at Aberdeen, off Aberdeen Av opposite the Chedoke Golf Course on Studholme. It has changed very little over the years; and this image taken 43 years ago could almost have been much more recent. It looks like an old passenger station, and once upon a time it was. I do not have much information on it as such and would appreciate hearing from anyone. My TH&B timetable of 1916 shows only one daily passenger train that stopped here. And by then it was only a flagstop. It is almost amusing the timetable shows this train leaving Waterford at 630PM as the Toronto-Montreal Express #10. Dream big. The train was scheduled thru Aberdeen at 7:51PM and into downtown Hamilton for 8PM. Then, via CPR; off toward Toronto, leaving 820PM and arriving in the Big Smoke at 9:23PM. It was to arrive in Montreal the following morning. The station was built in the 1890s, and evidently was lightly patronized.

This station still exists. You must be referring to Galr CN. I don’t have a demolition year or whether it was moved or anything else. Sorry.
