Comments on: My only picture of 4-8-2 CNR 6060, class U-1-f. It is late afternoon/early evening in the late summer of 1978 (best guess). 6060 has paused close to Spadina Road bridge, on its way back to the Spadina roundhouse after a Toronto-Niagara Falls excursion. The CNR coaling tower enhances the picture, the RDC not so much. The low-level viewpoint is to get the bridge out of the picture. The arrival of 6060 took me by surprise on this visit to Spadina Yard. I had gone in search of FP9A, FPA-4, B-units, and any other diesels I hadn’t encountered at Macmillan Yard. Being permitted to enter CN facilities to take pictures was a great privilege while it lasted. Why only one picture ? I think I was running out of film, maybe the last shot, with the sun low in the sky. Camera was an Asahi Pentax 6×7, 10 exposures per roll of 120 film.

One twenty roll film? Waste not!!! The hobby got rather expensive if you were out running around looking for diesels all day.
