Comments on: National Steel Car #11, in a new dress paint scheme, sits at Kenilworth, about to cross back into the plant. It hardly looks like the Industrial North End in this photo, thanks to the earth mound in behind. This unit, as with the other locomotive #12, has been at NSC since new in 1954.

I’ve often liked ‘industrial colours’ to go on industrial units. You’re right, this is a bit much but perhaps it is the only colour one can find on the grimy North End of Hambone.

I think the colour is kind of defeating the purpose. It’s so bright you’d go blind once it enters your sight!
