Comments on: Niagara Falls is one of those cities I wish I had explored a bit more back in the 90’s and early 2000’s. Back when CP and CN had more of a presence in town. It is amazing how many industries once called Niagara Falls home. The CP transfer job to CN allowed some interesting shots though the middle of old downtown as well as rolling through a residential area. I was lucky enough to catch this job a few times, like this day. Here the job was returning from CN with a good cut of Canadian grain hoppers as the train spits the public parking lot at Erie Ave and Queen Street. The crew are on the front porch keeping an eye out for motorists. Today sadly all the rails are long gone here.

Its a shame how many cities across Canada feel tourism will pay the bills more than a substantial industrial/manufacturing core. (Kelowna, Niagara Falls, etc)

Now that is a remarkably long cut of cars to be dragging thru the city. I used to see maybe 2 to 6 at most. Nice catch!!!
