Comments on: Nice afternoon as a trio of GP40-2L widecabs, led by CN 9511, rolls over the big trestle spanning the Jordan Harbour en route to Fort Erie from Mac Yd. Note the load of logs for the paper mill at Thorold South. This daily train, known as #469 back then, regularly had quite a few cars of wood for an extremely busy plant; which today, sits dead and empty. Times change.

The branches in the tree seen here - lead down a trunk that is at the bottom (!) of the river valley. It's a rather large tree..

http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=36931

At least I was able to get something but.... it's less than ideal especially when the foliage kicks in because it'll block part of the shot.

It's just two or three branches though - someone with the right pruning tools Might be able to do it.. but good luck. It's a long way down :)

Guess I had better check that out. There's nary a tree in my pic and, believe it or not, I have not yet reached 100. :o)
My curiosity knows no bounds. So when it finally stops raining I shall go for a visit.
