Comments on: Nice colourful westbound, back in the days of endless CP leasing. One of the very last SD40-2s built for US railroads is this 6619, from a series 6618-6623, built in 1984. Note lack of dynamics. Trailing units are GATX 902 (former MP SD40-2) and Conrail SD40 6304. This sheltered mini-hillside not far from Campbellville Pond was a nice place to hang out back then, mostly free from bugs as well as a great place to watch westbound trains struggle on the grade thru here.

I remember seeing this EXACT train in a book at Orr’s Lake Hill, nice shot!
