Comments on: Nice warm early fall afternoon and the “Super C” is southbound over the Trent-Severn waterway by way of the historical CN swing bridge (or Drawbridge, in RR terms). The power is VIA 6521, 6623, 6533. This location is but a mile out of Washago. Back in the day, Washago was a great place to hang out as there were a good number of CN freights as well as the ONR Northlander. I am assuming the structure by the bridge is the bridge tender’s quarters.

Arnold, of course that is possible. In fact, you have already done that many times over. Keep well, John

Another great “Arnold photo”, combining two interests of mine, boating on the Trent-Severn Canal and VIA “F”units; looks like 4 of them are on the head end of VIA #4. Have had the good fortune of “boating” under this bridge a number of times at the helm of my 1972 Grew 20’ in-board/out board 225 hp Mercury engine, and travelling over the bridge numerous times in coach class, sleeping accommodation, dining car, dome car, behind steam and diesel. The wonderful thing is that you can still ride over this bridge today. Well done, John
