Comments on: No one spends a lot of time in this area. It is strictly a get-through-it-as-quickly-as-possible situation. This is one of the few places where a train can be caught (Note the highway in the background). This is an eastbound coal empty train on a very overcast morning.

Yep, you betcha. I work in track maintenance and cover a big section of track from Blue River to Edmonton to Grande Prairie to Coal Valley!

With your knowledge and experience, I presume that you must work for CN (Why else would you have spent so much time in that area?).
This also helps to explain how you have managed to take so many photos in the Jasper area – it is an expensive place to visit that often. Keep it up. I enjoy your work.
