Comments on: No white flags today, this is a regularly scheduled train.

The Uhthoff Turn with the Stone Train powered by CP Rail 4230 / 8795 / 5005

    MLW C424 / MLW RS18 / GMD GP-35 power mix +

Circa 1965 / 1958 / 1963

July 1, 1978 near Palgrave ( ? * ) Kodak Tri X negative by S. Danko

  * can anyone help with the location ?

what ‘s interesting

… no six axle power here…this is WAY before CP owned a GE…..( that was ‘foreign’ power)….

CP Rail #4230 sold to NBEC about 1995 / #8735 rebuilt 1985 to #1833 retired by 1998 / #5005 sold to Helm Leasing 1998 then resold to RaiLink

+ what ever power showed up at Agincourt……even the regular TTE, The Empress RSD18 #8921, found its way to Uhthoff from time to time

the regular TTE power ( Toronto Transfer Engine ) RSD-17 sometimes got teamed up with interesting power:

   G5a / RSD -17

following C-424 #4230:

   At Alliston

  at Parry Sound

   at Hamilton

  at Niagara Falls

Most likely Tottenham. I wasn't aware that there was a siding there until recently.

Thanks for posting this. I model this train and time period. Could the location be Bolton with Highway 50 in the background?
